Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin)

Written and illustrated by the man we all know as Hajime Isayama, Attack on Titan is drama, action anime, some would say it's like the Game of Thrones of anime. In the series humanity has been pushed to living inside the walls of a city-state area by the force of these humongous sized creatures or more commonly know as titans. Though until now the walls have protected the humans but when out of nowhere a colossal titan appears and breaks down the wall, shit hits the fan. Now it's time for the men and women of the military(including protagonist Eren Yeager) to fend off and hopefully destroy the attacking force that is the titans.

Attack on Titan is know to be a more fast paced anime blowing through many of the manga's chapters in the first season which is really nice. Another thing driving the anime forward is the easy to understand, smooth action scenes and art style. You could say this is one of the few anime's that is better than the manga, one of the reasons that I believe this is because if you read the manga instead of watching the series you will miss the epic sound track, voice acting, awesome gore, drama and over the top personalities.

Though the series is supposed to be one of the best and most popular it still does make mistakes here and there. To be perfectly honest they are not important but are still there. Firstly just like Tokyo Ghoul the first episode is important to the story but the beginning of the episode is still slightly underwhelming to some. Another small error is when watching the series in English dub quite a lot of script is changed/lost in translation, but who watches dubbed anyway? Thirdly since there was barely any filler and straight important information and action in the first season the second season will have to slow down considerably which would add a lot of filler to it which would make it less popular than the first season. Very underwhelming.

To be honest Attack on Titan or Shingeki no Kyojin is definitely in my top ten anime ever(Not including manga) The series has a great soundtrack, a lack of filler episodes, a great and compelling story with some of the best visuals you have seen in years. The series does have some downsides but not many the most important will affect the next season making it irrelevant for this one. Overall there's not many bad things you can say about Shingeki no Kyojin without first pointing out all of the positives. If you wanna get into anime or are into anime and haven't seen this series yet. Go watch it! And if you've already seen it. Go watch it again!

Legends of League: PC Edition

Riot Game's masterpiece, League of Legends. The game was initially released in 2009 which would probably put it out of range of a review but with the ever changing nerf's and buff's as well as introduction of new game modes(The newest being Legend of the Poro King) I think it's a perfect time to review this game. League of Legends or more commonly know as LoL or League is a Moba in which two team's fight against each other with diverse champions in hope to force the enemy team to surrender or destroy their nexus. This is all done on either Summoners Rift, The Crystal Scar or The Howling Abyss(But only one of them is a good map)

The game has been around for quite along time with constant updates which has made it very uncommon for bugs/glitches to be found(The only exception being the Beta testing of new champions/ Summoners Rift) This however was very different back preseason 1. The actual graphics of the new map are up to and above standard but there still are quite a lot of old champions that need to be updated, because from close up they're quite the distortion. If you can look past that you will be able to see the amount of time and effort put into making the game work correctly as well at the same time trying to keep the Meta relevant without making certain champions too overpowered.

This is all great but at the same time this is quite bad for the people who want to play the game for fun instead of competitively. I'm talking about the person that just wanted to try ad malzahar(Ad meaning Attack Damage instead of ap, meaning Ability Power) and instead of having fun trying something new he gets flamed for not playing the Meta. Second downside of the game is the gap between a level one beginner and his dream of being diamond one. This gap that you have to pass before playing ranked is necessary but also a hassle. By that I mean if someone is playing the game for the first time they shouldn't have to deal with people who created alternate accounts who flame them for being new to the game/bad at the game. Thirdly not being able to go below bronze five in ranked, For some people ranked just probably isn't their thing yet. So if someone plays ranked and ends up in bronze five I believe they should be given time where they cannot play ranked and instead must practice instead of turning into a hated toxic played who blames his team for every loss.

To put it in a fair plain manner League of Legends is a very, very popular Moba with a lot of champion variation and some of the most competitive ranked play in the world. The main problem pulling it down is the toxic community because apart from them everything else works fine. The system would be so amazing without them. Hopefully soon Rito(Joke intended and not a type) will fix the tribunal and clear up the toxic waste that is plaguing their masterpiece.
P.S League may not be everyone's game, some may hate it and some may love it so rating is up for debate but because of my special enjoyment of Moba's I will obviously have a bias rating. You all have the right to rate the game as how you think it should be rated. Merc Out.
