A sort of old game but with the recent Goblins vs Gnomes update I though it would be a good chance to review it. Developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment Hearthstone is a collectible card game that uses certain characters and monsters from the Warcraft universe as cards in the game, the Goblins vs Gnomes expansion is just a well needed refreshing dump of cards into the game. So of which could be considered a little OP e.g Sneed's Old Shredder but I think the introduction of some newer and OP cards is just what the game needs to shift the meta bringing more different deck types into play.
Apart from being a massive card dump Goblins vs Gnomes also attempts to pull in more players with giving out a free arena run, a new card playing field and some free packs. Though apart from that there isn't too much new stuff. To go to graphics the game does very well with card designs and the animations on gold cards work very well too. As far as bugs and glitches go they are very few compared to when the game was first released but are still there e.g starting the game without getting a hand of cards. But as I said they are quite the rarity compared to previous patches which is better then nothing.
Some of the inevitable cons of this game, the first being both a pro and a con there is no trading of cards. This means there wont be any real world trading or need for account theft but it still does suck that you cant trade cards with your friends. Not saying there is enough variety of cards to trade anyways. And big con number two, unless skilled enough in arena it's quite the challenge to play the game completely f2p which is annoying and also brings the frustration of losing to another person just because they have payed which means they have better cards then you.
Overall Hearthstone is still probably one of the fairer famous card games, it has a small but nice variety in hero's and deck types. It falls short with pay2win but that is countered by the enjoyable graphics and animations which are probably enjoyed so much more when pulled from a pack you earn't. A good way to end it would be, great for those who are willing to put in the time or money but under performing for those who only want to hop on once a week to do their quests.
