The Elder Scrolls: Partially Online

Coming in as probably one of the more higher-end and under-rated games of the year, ESO is the online or more exact partially online MMORPG for The Elder Scroll's series. The game was first undermined with the talk of micro-transactions and expensive P2P. Further more doubted with unimpressive frame-rate problems as well as unstable servers. Ever since then, then being the Beta even with patch fixes and well they didn't really advertise again but more of the patches the games got considerably better in my opinion at least.

Its hard to say that ESO is anywhere near the capability of standing up to some on the more well know MMO's but at the very least its gotten slightly higher up the chain of game quality. Downsides that the game is slightly harder to run on normal PC's and more fans means more toll on the servers which can be frustrating as well.

Moving onto the actual game which is basically grind, grind, grind play massive world PvP, the massive world PvP being a real time strategy game where you conquer forts, have giant team fights and slaughter NPC's. A great game-mode, its too bad that the teams usually are one-sided and the higher prestige's dictate the flow of the fights too much. If only there were more players, the possibilities of game would be infinite.

As a conclusion ESO is a mid-range game that has the potential to be great, the servers are slightly under-par and players without a god-like PC can expect frame rate problems but if you can look past that ESO is a really enjoyable MMORPG, for those who may not be as experienced in the genre its a great doorway into those sorts of games.
